Unable to run programs needing Admin rights.

Q. I can't run certain aspects of MaxxTraxx because the original Administrator user has been deleted. How can I regain it?

Answer:

To enable the default Administrator account, perform the steps below:

1. Click Start and type CMD in the Start search box.
2. Right click on CMD in the list and click on "Run as administrator".
3. Type the following command at the DOS prompt: net user administrator /active:yes. Press Enter.

Restart the computer and you should see an "Administrator" account. Log into Windows as the Administrator, and try those programs again.

Training in MaxxTraxx While Others Are Working

Q. I have a new employee and I want him to train on the program but not affect our current data, how can I do this?

Answer:

Yes, we have a way for you to do this. We have set up a “sample” company for just this reason. Click on utilities at the top, click on select company/sample database, choose Sample Company, Maxxtraxx will prompt you to close and reopen in a sample database. It is here that you can train new employees without affecting your current data. Once done, simply follow the above procedures and choose Company Data to get back into your current data.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Once someone has switched to the Sample Data, any one on other workstations that exits the program then restarts it, will find themselves also in the Sample Data. They will be fine so long as they don't exit the program while the trainee is working in the Sample Data.

Data Loss / Backups

Q. What if my computer crashes or I get a bad virus, is it difficult to get my MaxxTraxx system back up and running?

Answer:

MaxxTraxx has functionality that will backup your data daily to a different hard drive, computer on your network, or an offsite secure location. It is highly recommended that you utilize the automatic backup functionality as it is crucial in reconvening your MaxxTraxx system in the event of system failure or virus attack. The backups can be configured by going to Setups, then Data Backup (From Server Only)
